Heartbeat International Ministries Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization incorporated and headquartered in Connecticut (USA). Its directors are Stephen and Kathleen Gamble, local businesspeople with extensive experience in coordinating relief and charitable efforts in disparate locations such as Louisiana, Trinidad, the Ukraine, and Senegal.
The hosting organization, Harvest Time Church, is a Spirit-filled church serving lower Fairfield County, Connecticut and Westchester County, New York. Harvest Time has approximately 1,000 people in attendance each weekend, with services available in English and Spanish. The church maintains active children’s and teens’ programs in addition to sponsoring a variety of charitable programs in nations around the world.
Nelson Malwitz is founder of Finishers Project connecting people with mission organizations from their career. The ministry was founded in 1998 with an initial focus to provide information, challenge and pathways for the boomer generation to assist in the missions enterprise, discipling the nations with their considerable life-skills.
The ministry grew to be a competent and credible portal for Americans into missions at any age after college. See the street level explanation of Finishers Project in video form on the web. In 2005 Nelson handed the ministry to a seasoned team and took the title Chief Innovation Officer.
As part of the initiatives of Finishers Project Nelson is working to install the web matching tools (for people with organizations) for use by other nations in other continents. It is installed in Australia, and pending in Ibero-America (Central and South America and Latins in North America), Africa, Europe and Asia. In this pursuit Nelson has been on every continent in the last 10 years. Here he is pictured at an outdoor restaurant in a something-stan country of Central Asia.
In Africa the need is to provide sustainable enterprises as small businesses, beyond micro-enterprises, to sponsor their missionary vision. Hence the reason for Finishers Project to be involved in WaterWorks Conference. See more under the Initiatives link above.
